Each camper is expected to carry his own accident insurance. Your insurance company and policy number should be indicated on the application and physical sheet. Medical forms must be completed by the camper's family doctor and returned when registration begins on Sunday. You may bring a copy of your school physical. The overnight camps will end at 3:30 pm on Thursday, with an awards ceremony at the stadium. The schedule will be adjusted so as not to lose any time in instruction or games. The total cost of the overnight camp is $545.00 per week. A deposit of $100.00 must accompany the application, and is not refundable. The remaining $445.00 will be payable upon enrollment or earlier if possible. Instructions, directions, maps, etc. will be mailed upon a youngsterís acceptance. Full pre-payment speeds up your registration at arrival. A $425 fee is charged for the full day commuter camper who does not use the dorms or cafeteria. The 1/2 day camp for 8-11 year olds is offered at a cost of $205 in one payment. This camp runs from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday through Friday. See attached information. Overnight sessions end Thursday at 3:30 pm with an awards ceremony at the stadium. Goals: To teach baseball fundamentals exclusively. A great deal of instruction and individual attention is given each camper to assist him in developing sound techniques in catching, hitting, bunting, fielding, throwing, and baserunning. Some team concepts are taught but mainly individual improvement in the basics is our goal. The overnight Clemson Baseball Camp is for the young player who sincerely wishes to learn and improve. It does not matter what his ability or level of knowledge is when he comes. He will be given every opportunity, under close supervision, to practice up to eight hours a day. Long free time periods, swimming sessions or watching other games are not considered worthwhile. The large amount of expected activity dictates that the camper report in good physical condition. Who May Attend: The overnight camp is open to any youngster who has reached his twelfth birthday before the opening date of the camp, but has not begun classes in college. Students who have finished high school may now attend camp. Reserve you spot now. Grouping: Campers will be drilled, instructed, and scheduled to pay with members of their own age and skill level. For instance, groups 12 and 13 years old; 14 and 15 years old; and 16 and 17 years old should work together well. In the 1/2 day camp, 8 - 9 year olds and 10 - 11 year olds will be grouped together as a general rule. Facilities Available: For the outdoor camp activities, there is an excellently maintained college baseball field, plus adequate adjacent fields for drills, games, and batting practice. Four batting tunnels plus other nets to hit into and plenty of space for drills involving all positions and aspects of the game comfortably enhance the teaching-learning process. Benefits to the Camper: Overnight campers will be housed in Clemson Universityís air-conditioned dormitories, with two youngsters per room. Roommate preferences may be specified. Please make known to us your roommate preference when returning the application. Both players must indicate their desire to be roommates and must send their applications in together in the same envelope. Harcombe Commons dinning hall will be serving again this summer. Food is all you can eat with much variety. Equipment: Bring baseball shoes or sneakers, gloves, and practice pants. All other gear will be provided. Each camper will receive a Camp T-shirt. If a camper has his own catcher's gear or bat, he is encouraged to bring them. Awards will be presented each week for: Best Hitter, Best Pitcher, Best Fielder, Best Hustler, and Most Improved. The camp is committed
to following all NCAA, ACC, and university regulations pertaining to
the operation of sports camps. The Clemson Baseball Camp cannot employ
